Farming and Ploughing Instruments
This is a stick with pointed wood parts, resembling the palm of the hand. It is used to turn crops in the air to separate grains from husks that are scattered about by the air, the process known as grain thresher.
The act of “scattering about by the air” is mentioned in Allah’s words: “Tell them, too, what the life of this world is like: We send water down from the skies and the earth’s vegetation absorbs it, but soon the plants turn to dry stubble scattered about by the wind: God has power over everything.” [Al-Kahf: 45]
