Citation in the Quran:
Talh “Umbrella thorn” is referred to once in the Holy Qur’an. The word Talh is a kind of thorny trees of Acacia. But Talh Mandoud is the tree has aggregated fruits like banana. Allah The Most Sublime Says; “The Companions of the Right Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Right Hand? (27) (They will be) among Sidrtrees without thorns,(28) Among Talh trees with flowers (or fruits) piled one above another(29)” Surat Al-waqi’ah, Verses 27-29
Citation in the Hadit:
Fadalah Bin Ubaid Said, I heard Omar Bin Al-Khatab says, that the Prophet Said “Martyrs are four Persons; One a Muslim whose faith is good, and who meets the enemy with fortitude, and hope of reward, till he is killed; then is a man to whom people look up at the day of resurrection. (Fadalah Says that Omar, in explaining this, raised his head up, in such a manner that his cap fell off) “ and the second is a Muslim, who meets his enemy horror struck, with his hair standing up, like the thorns of Talh (Acacia) tree, and an arrow pierces him from an unknown hand, and kills him; then this is a martyr of the second degree; the third is a man who has mixed good with bad actions, meets the enemy with fortitude and bravery, till slain; then this man is the third degree; the fourth, is a Muslim, but has surpassed all bounds in sinning, meets the enemy with fortitude and courage, till killed then he is in the fourth degree”. Sunan Al-Tirmdhi.

The plant is native to much of Africa and the Arabian peninsula, but it has been introduced in many arid parts of the world.
