The early formative years are an important time for children to come into contact with nature and start exploring their outdoor environment.
Primary school is suitable age group to focus on for education in the botanic garden. Primary-age children are at a developmental stage, so they show positive attitudes towards Plants, Environment. The below program title is proposed to be developed for such age group:
1 - Little Biologist
In this indoor program, students are able practice lab activities and scientific process related to Herbarium and seeds germination. The program is offering them simple educational practical sessions about plant morphology and physiology lessons which are suitable for their age category
2 - A day in the Arboretum
In this outdoor program, students will explore the agricultural processes and operations needed to the plants inside the greenhouse. They will ale to do different practices related to indoor and out planting.
3 - A Botanic Garden at my school
In this outdoor/ indoor program, students will move the Botanic Garden to their schools. They will able to plant their school with the plants from the Qur’anic Botanic Garden. Also Student (10-11 years) will do a simple Herbarium at their school.
4 - Recycled Arts
In this indoor program, students will able to make handcrafts and Artworks e.g. frames and posters from the plant’s parts especially the plants of the QBG
5 - Stories for everyone
In this indoor program, students from different ages will watch and listen to stories from the Holy Qur’an, Hadith and Culture Heritage.
In this age, the Educational program of the QBG provides children with special courses based on their secondary education. The secondary schools are typically categorizing into two ages categories of 11-14 and 16-18.
1 - Plant Morphology for Everyone!
In this indoor program, students will take advanced courses (according to their age category) about the plant Morphology, anatomy and physiology. Students also will deeply know the features and structure of the plants; roots, shoots fruits and seeds. Also they will able to explore the plant’s structure throughout the plants modules doing plant’s sections.
2 - A day in the Herbarium
In this indoor program, students know the definition of the herbarium& why it is important to the conservation. Also, they will discover tools and equipment of the herbarium and they will practice the different steps of doing a herbarium sheet.
3 - From the Seed to the Seed
In this indoor program, students will take an advanced course on seeds structure, movements and germination. Students will act like lab specialist to prepare the all needs for germination experiments. During this course, students will know how to design for germinations treatments to get best results.
4 - A day in the Arboretum

5 - A Botanic Garden at my school
In this outdoor/ indoor program, students will move the Botanic Garden to their schools. They will able to plant their school with the plants from the Qur’anic Botanic Garden
6 - The Field Man
In this outdoor program the student will do filed excursions to the desert in order to discover the natural habitats of the wild plants. During the field trips the students will gain the social experience of camps. Also they will collect seeds and samples for the next generations.
