The used part: the red powdery substance covering its fruits Kamala trees grow in rainforests, especially in south-east of Asia. They also grow in the Arab region, especially in Yemen.
Reference in the Quran or Hadith
Um-Salama said: “The woman having postnatal bleeding would refrain (from observing salah) for forty days or forty nights, and we would anoint our faces with kamala herb to remove dark spots.” (Sunan Abi-Dawoud)
