Citation in the Quran:

The word Rumman ” pomegranate” appears 3 times in the Holy Qur’an. Allah The Most Sublime Says; “It is He Who produceth gardens, with trellises and without, and dates, and tilth with produce of all kinds, and olives and pomegranates, similar (in kind) and different (in variety): eat of their fruit in their season, but render the dues that are proper on the day that the harvest is gathered. But waste not by excess: for Allah loveth not the wasters”. Al-Anaam, verse 141

Citation in the Hadit:

An-Nawwas b. Sam’an reported that Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) Said “Then the earth would be told to bring forth its fruit and restore its blessing and, as a result thereof, there would grow (such a big) pomegranate that a group of persons would be able to eat that, and seek shelter under its skin and milch cow would give so much milk that a whole party would be able to drink it” Sahih Muslim, book pertaining to the turmoil and portents of the Last Hour.

Habitat & Distribution:

The pomegranate is considered to have originated in Iran. it is widely cultivated throughout the Mediterranean region and the Middle East.
